Cash Registers are best described as a "rugged" piece of equipment that are used in retail stores for the purpose of safe guarding cash, accounting for sales, providing business activity information, complying with taxation requirements and for producing customer receipts for the sale of goods and services.

POS Systems are best described as a sophisticated, computerised, cash register system made up of computer related hardware and software. It may take the form of a single computer and POS Software with attached POS hardware eg. POS Printers, Cash Drawers, Scanners etc or it may comprise of hundreds of computerised POS terminals all connected covering a vast network and area.

Business name, address, phone, fax ABN etc. It will also include items that need to be programmed to the cash register keyboard. eg. product categories
- We will then either deliver or freight the cash register to your premises. Australia wide
- On-site or over the telephone instruction on how to properly use the cash register will be provided
- You are free to make contact with us for any further queries that you may have

How to choose a cash register that suits your needs
Cash Registers can broadly be classified into one of three categories:
- Simple / Low Cost - Numeric print and journal roll only with limited items that can be preset to the keyboard
- Mid to High Range - Can produce a GST Tax Invoice receipt and have many products preset on the keyboard
- POS Cash Register - sophisticated computer based cash register with industry specific POS Software
To assist in working out which category of cash register best suits your needs, ask yourself the following questions:
- Do you require a GST 'Tax invoice' receipt to be suppied to your customer?
- Do you require more than 8 items or product categories to be preset on the cash register keyboard?
If you answered "YES" to either of these two questions, a Mid to High Range Cash Register will best suit your needs
